Patricia A. Flynn, age 55, of 17 B Highview Dr. Pittsfield, died suddenly on Thursday evening at her home. She was born in Pittsfield, May 16, 1961, the daughter of Marjorie M. Sottung Flynn and the Atty William R. Flynn. She attended the local schools and was a 1979 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Continuing her education, she attended Berkshire Community College. Employed as a Veterinarian Tech in her early years, she then became employed in the Medical Records Dept. at Berkshire Medical Center followed by BMC ‘s Neighborhood Health Center.  Her love for children prompted her most recent career becoming employed as a Paraprofessional at Morris Elementary School in Lenox and most recently as a Paraprofessional at Egremont School, helping children with special needs. Additionally, she operated her  ‘critter sitter business’  helping family, friends and pet owners with animal sitting and dog walking for over 25 years.

She attended St. Charles Church and was most passionate about children and caring for animals as evidenced by her lifelong occupations. Patty loved spending summers on the Cape where she took sailing lessons to obtain her certification for sailing. Very Proud of her Irish heritage, she also loved Irish Music.

 

In addition to her mother, Marjorie M. Flynn of Pittsfield, she is survived by her son, Liam F. Tierney of Pittsfield, 3 brothers, Kevin M. Flynn of New York City,  William M. and John P. Flynn, both of Pittsfield, her sisters, Kathleen M. Flynn and Mary Ellen Flynn, both of Cape Cod, Ma. her nieces and nephews Sean Sinclair, Caitlin Guindeira, Travis Kupiec, Michael Flynn and Mai Flynn. She was predeceased by two of her  brothers, Shaun  (OMIT)  Flynn, who died May 22nd, 1957 and Michael L. Flynn, who died Jan. 15, 1996.

 

Flynn, Patricia A., age 55, of Pittsfield, died Thursday, March 23rd.  A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated WEDNESDAY morning, March 29th  at 11 AM at St. Charles Church with the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall immediately following  the Mass.  Burial will take place at a later date in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON   Funeral Home.
