PITTSFIELD- Wendy A. (Hagyard) Mazzeo, 76, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Williamstown Commons.

Wendy was born in Pittsfield on July 29, 1940, a daughter of the late William and Anne (Benton) Hagyard. She attended Pittsfield Public Schools, and was a 1958 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Wendy was initially employed at the former Adams Superama on West St. She later went on to work for General Electric Co. for several years, and then the Harry’s Super Market on Wahconah St. before her retirement in 2000.

Wendy’s husband, Robert Mazzeo, whom she married June 6, 1959, died January 13, 1983.

Wendy is survived by her four children, Bonnie Rufo of Pittsfield, Bob M. Mazzeo and his wife Kathy of Cheshire, Pamela Alfonso and her husband Keith of Pittsfield, and Michael Mazzeo, also of Pittsfield, her 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two brothers, Ben Hagyard of Montana and Jeff Hagyard of CT, her longtime companion of 27 years, Bill Jamross of Pittsfield, and many nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Mazzeo, Wendy A., 76, died June 29th. Calling Hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, 40 Maplewood Ave. will be WEDNESDAY, July 5, 2017 from 11-1PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 1PM with the Rev. Rich Hayes officiating.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations in Wendy’s Memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires, in care of the Funeral Home.
