Ada Pitre, age 75 of 31 Westminster Street, Pittsfield, died Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Juan and Gloria Denizac Pitre.
Educated in the schools there, she came to the United States in the 1960’s, settling in the Bronx, N.Y.. Primarily a homemaker, Ada came to Massachusetts, initially living in Springfield prior to making Pittsfield her home.
A communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Ada was always, always all about her family. Caring, giving and the life of the party, she very enjoyed being around her children, her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert Alvarez and his wife, Melissa Alvarez, with whom, Ada made home, and Reynaldo Molina of Orlando, Fl. her sister, Ophelia Soto of the Bronx, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be SUNDAY, September 19, 2021 from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral services will be held MONDAY, September 20, 2021 at 12:15 pm from the funeral home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm at St. Joseph’s Church with the Rev. Michael Goodreau, parochial vicar, officiating.
