Pittsfield – Angelina M. “Tillie” (Cicurillo) Flynn, 91, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Tillie was born in Newark, NJ on May 26, 1926, a daughter of the late Francesco and Raphaella (Novelino) Cicurillo. She graduated from local schools, and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing from the former St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing. Angelina started her career at the former Pittsfield General Hospital, and then went on to work at the former Hillcrest Hospital until her retirement in 1986. During her devoted 40 years of service to Hillcrest Hospital, she was promoted to the Nursing Supervisor of the Surgical Department, an accomplishment she was very proud of.

Tillie was a communicant at St. Joseph’s Church, and had been very devoted to her faith. She loved to travel, particularly to visit her niece Jo Ann and late sister Catherine in New Jersey, to California, and to Cape Cod. Angelina was also a longtime member of the Dalton Community Center where she loved to swim.

Angelina married her husband, the late Charles “Chuck” Flynn at St. Joseph’s Church Dec 31, 1946. Chuck died in 1979.

Tillie is survived by her son, Thomas Flynn and his wife Susie of Coral Springs, FL, her two grandchildren, Matthew and Jillian Flynn, and a sister, Anna Auth of New Jersey. She also leaves her nieces who have devoted so much love and time to their aunt over these last few years, Judith Rembish of Pittsfield and Meg Seminara and her husband Don of Lenox, as well as many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by ten siblings.

Services: Calling Hours for Tillie will be Saturday, January 20th from 9:30-10AM at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME with a Funeral Service beginning at 10AM with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Angelina’s Memory may be made to: St. Joseph’s Church, in care of the Funeral Home.
