Barbara L (Siegmund) Bush

Barbara L. Bush passed away on September 12, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on February 4, 1930 in Wartenfels, Germany. The daughter of Andreas and Katharina Siegmund, she married the late Raymond A. Bush in 1954 and came to the United States in 1955. Before she retired, Barbara provided private home health care. A communicant of St. Mark's Church, she was predeceased by her son Michael Bush. She will be greatly missed by her surviving children: Ottilie Scholz of Pittsfield, Ingeborg Chapin of St. Paul, Minnesota, Gisela Siegmund (Chris Gauthier) of Pittsfield, Raymond Bush (Christine) of Pittsfield, Barbara Rowley (Bill) of Otis, Sandy Penna (Dave) of Pittsfield, her sister Heidi Lambert of Pittsfield and grandchildren: Jimmy Scholz, Kimberly Scholz, Mark Scholz, Shen Chapin, Shaun Bush, Christopher Bush, Jacob Jordan, Gisela Kerns, Dan Sheldon, and Erika Penna. The matriach of a large family, she is also survived by many great grandchildren, and great, great, grandchildren.

A private service for the family will be held on September 17, 2019. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pittsfield Senior Center.
