Pittsfield – Beverly Bove DuBois, 74, of 4 Hillcrest Ave. died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.

Bev was born in Pittsfield on November 16, 1943 a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Bove. Beverly lived next door to her grandfather’s home where she was raised to be proud of her Ukrainian and Italian heritage. She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1961, and then went on to work for the New England Telephone Company as an operator until 1964. Bev later worked from 1972-1982 at the Berkshire Hilton Inn, and then went on to work for the Pittsfield School Department as a substitute secretary from 1988-1998. For work on the side, Bev enjoyed working as a bartender for 18 years at the Polish Falcons Club where she was a dedicated member. She was also a lifelong member of the Polish Community Club and the American Legion. Bev was a passionate Boston Red Sox fan and she loved to spend time with her two grandchildren. Bev was a longtime communicant of St. Charles Church of Pittsfield, and she enjoyed knitting baby blankets and doing puzzles.

Beverly was predeceased by her husband, Mr. Thomas A. DuBois on November 10, 1998, one day after their 35th wedding anniversary. Bev and Tom were married at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in 1963.

Beverly leaves her sons, Thomas A. DuBois and his wife Virginia of Pittsfield, and Gary M. DuBois and his partner Pamela Chapman of Austin, TX, her two beloved grandsons, Brian and Michael DuBois, and a brother Ronald Bove and his partner Nancy Hall of Pittsfield.

SERVICES: DuBois, Beverly, 74, died Dec. 19th. Calling Hours for Bev will be FRIDAY, December 22nd from 4-7PM at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME.  The celebration of Bev’s life will continue on Saturday morning at 8:45AM from the Funeral Home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9:30AM at St. Charles Church with the Rev. Michael Wood, administrator, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: The Polish Falcons of America, Nest 580 - Youth Program, in care of the funeral home.
