Carl W. Valentine Jr.

Carl “ CB “ W. Valentine, Jr., age 75 of 8 Abbott St. Pittsfield, died Saturday evening at the Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Gardner, Ma. Feb. 6, 1944, the son of the late Carl W. and Dorothy Culley Valentine, Sr. He came to Pittsfield as a young boy and after attending the local schools, graduated from Pittsfield High School. A sheet metal fabricator, he traveled throughout the country to practice his craft. Carl retired in 1999 and returned to Pittsfield to make his home. A U.S. Navy veteran of the Viet Nam era, he served aboard the USS Bushnell prior to his discharge.

His wife of more than 20 years, the former Wanda Clark, died Feb. 27, 2013.

He is survived by his son, Alfred W. Valentine and his wife, Rebecca A. Valentine of Pittsfield and their 2 children, Fredrick C. Valentine and Kristin M. Valentine, his daughter, Paris Day Henderson of Princeton, Ma. and her family, and his brother, John A. Valentine and his family of Covington, Pennsylvania. As well as the family of his sister, the late Caroline Beals, who predeceased him.

Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be FRIDAY, July 26th from 5 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Soldier On in care of the funeral home.
