Craig A. Kibbe, 57, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 26, at his home on 360 W. Housatonic St. He was born in Pittsfield on Dec. 31, 1960, a son of the late John D. and Irene M. Kibbe.  He attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1978. Craig served in the US Marine Corps as an aircraft structure mechanic. While in the Marine Corps, he furthered his education in aircraft structure training at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Il. 

Craig was employed at Berkshire Medical Center for 25 years, the majority of that time working as a renal dialysis technician. He loved music of all genres, enjoyed attending numerous concerts over the years, and took great pride in his extensive record and cd collection. Craig was also passionate about art and enjoyed painting in his spare time.  He had a zest for life and a quirky sense of humor.  He enjoyed a good laugh and made it his mission to make those around him laugh as well. 

Craig leaves two daughters, Nicole and Hannah Kibbe of Pittsfield; his former wife and friend, Ann-Marie Farrugo Kibbe of Pittsfield; two siblings Hugh Kibbe of Pittsfield and Karen Vaughn of Paducah, KY; and five nieces. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Kibbe.

Memorial services will be held Friday, August 31, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. in the Great Room/ Dining Hall at Soldier On, 360 West Housatonic Street, with the Rev. Quentin Chin officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Soldier On, a private nonprofit organization committed to ending veteran homelessness. Donations can be made through Devanny-Condron Funeral Home or to Soldier On directly.
