Daniel J. Sticco, age 71, of 120 Onota St. Pittsfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon at the Berkshire Medical Center after a long illness.
Born in Springfield, July 21, 1949, he was the son of the late Nicholas Sticco and Bernice Hunter Sticco. Educated in the Springfield schools, he was a 1967 graduate of Classical High School. Dan had been employed as a landscaper. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Viet Nam war. A self-taught pianist, Dan maintained an eclectic interest in music. An avid reader, he enjoyed doing puzzles and had an excellent sense of humor.
He is survived by his sister, Marilyn A. McCoy of Springfield, two brothers, John H. Sticco and his wife, Marie Sticco of Agawam and Thomas A. Sticco of Springfield, as well as his five nieces, a nephew, and his 3 grandnieces and a grandnephew.
SERVICES: A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25th at Soldier On, 360 W. Housatonic St. Pittsfield with the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, Chaplin, officiating. Inurnment will follow with full military honors. The Devanny-Condron Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
