Mr. David R. Condron, age 75, of 3095 N Course Dr., Pompano Beach, FL, died Friday evening, Oct. 27th at the Holy Cross Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL after a long illness. He was born in Pittsfield on May 24, 1942, a son of the late David J. and Rita M. Prediger Condron. A 1960 graduate of Pittsfield High School, he was awarded his baccalaureate degree from the then, Bridgewater State Teachers College in 1964. David accepted a teaching position with the East Bridgewater Elementary School and 3 years later was elevated to the Principal of the school. At that time, he became the youngest school principal in history in the state of Massachusetts. Continuing his education, he earned his Master in Education degree from Bridgewater State as well. Following David’s lengthy service as principal, he transferred to the East Bridgewater Middle School retiring from there in 1997. Shortly thereafter, he moved to make his home in Pompano Beach.

A former communicant of St. Mark’s Church, David enjoyed traveling, including his many trips to Ireland.

He is survived by his brother, Robert J. Condron of Wilton Manors, FL and his many cousins and friends.

Condron, David R., age 75, a Pittsfield native, died Oct. 27th in Ft. Lauderdale. Calling Hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be WEDNESDAY, Nov. 1st from 3 to 6 PM. Funeral Services will be held THURSDAY at 9:15 AM from the Funeral Home followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Marks Church with the Rev. David Aufiero, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, Memorial Donations may be made to either the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society, both in care of the Funeral Home.
