Ernest W. Taylor Sr.

Ernest W. Taylor Sr., age 75, of Pittsfield passed away on January 19, 2025 from a sudden illness.

Born in Pittsfield on December 28, 1949, Ernest was a son of the late Harry and Helen Muller Taylor. He graduated from Pittsfield High School and spent his career in mold manufacturing. He was an Injection Mold Technician/Supervisor at Poly Matrix and Syntronics in Pittsfield until taking his skills to Hunter Industries in Temecula, CA.

He lived in Oceanside, CA for 10 years before returning to Pittsfield to be near family.

He enjoyed spending time with family, especially the frequent visits with his brother John and watching the NY Yankees, Giants and the LA Lakers.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his children, Connie Taylor (Chris) of Waterford, NY, Ernest Taylor Jr. (Carrie) of Odessa, FL, Kerryann Corl (Frank) of Pittsfield and Marc Taylor of Pittsfield and his beloved grandchildren, Zakk Taylor, Kacey Sondrini, Ian Corl, Ciara Corl, Macey Corl, Richard Taylor and Derek Taylor. Ernest also leaves his siblings, John, Peter and Robert Taylor, and Frances Forfa.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five siblings, Charles, Richard and Michael Taylor, Martha Ferguson and Marylou Lefebvre.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
