Heidi Erica (Sheerin) Jones

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Heidi Erica Jones (nee Sheerin), on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital at the age of 53. She was born in Pittsfield on July 21, 1971 to John and Hildegarde Sheerin. She was a graduate of Taconic High School. She lived in Pittsfield for most of her life but recently moved to upstate New York. 

Heidi worked as a baker at a local deli and at the Popcorn Wagon on North St. in Pittsfield, but spent most of her time as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking- she loved sharing what she made and seeing how happy people were as a result of her cooking; her favorite thing to make was her Whoopie Pies. She loved to spend time with her fur-baby, Bella. Heidi also enjoyed spending summer days at Queechy Lake. 

Heidi is survived by her mother, her daughter, Christina (Maxwelle) Cross, and her son, David Jones Jr (Sara Trova). She is also survived by her three brothers John (Tracy) Sheerin, Kurt Sheerin, and Harold “Buddy” Sheerin, as well as her significant other, Paul Jansson. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her father.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
