Helen S. Fisher Reilly, age 80, of Lanesborough, died December 29, 2022 at her home after a long illness.
She was born October 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Samuel and Maria Fisher.
Helen’s crafting skills enhanced her entrepreneurship over the years. She at one time fashioned jewelry, as well as created hand painted designs on clothing and sold them at Camellia’s Fashion Shop.
Her ability to interact with people and customer service skills served her well when she helped manage Lone Oaks Campground in Canaan, CT. Additionally, Helen was proud of the many years she spent employed as a Card Dealer at Foxwoods Casino.
Following the death of her late husband of 26 years, Joseph M. Reilly, she operated the former Matt Reilly’s on Pontoosuc Lake for 12 years until its sale on June 25, 2018.
If you knew Helen, you also knew that she loved all "Games of Chance". That love had her traveling to the many casinos in Connecticut and Springfield, as well as many trips to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
She is survived by her daughters, Nicole D. and Colleen E. Reilly, both of Pittsfield, her step-daughter, Lisa-Marie Janotka of Chesapeake, VA, her 3 sisters-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Harte of Troy, NY, Rosemary McLaughlin and Lucille Reilly, both of Pittsfield, and her brothers-in-law, Richard Harte and John F. McLaughlin, Jr. Helen also leaves five grandchildren, Caitlin, Keighley, Catrianna, Kamron and Conal, 2 great-grandchildren, Declan and Mila, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved dog Brady.
In addition to her husband Joe, who died July 11, 2006, she was predeceased by her sister, JoAnne Mowry, her step-son, Shawn M. Reilly, and her two brothers-in-law, Thomas Reilly and Martin Reilly.
