Mr. Henry L. “ Bucky” Mandeville, age 88, of 134 California Ave. Pittsfield, passed away Thursday night at the Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Adams, June 5, 1928, the son of the late Lawrence and Alida Clermont Mandeville. A graduate of the former Adams High School, he was the Captain of the Baseball team and Co-Captain of the Football team his senior year. A communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, Bucky was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War where he received the Combat Infantry Badge, the Presidential Unit Citation for the 25th Div., I Company and the Korean Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars for his meritorious service in Inchon, Korea. He worked at General Electric Co. Power Transformer Dept. for over 35 years, retiring in 1988. A big fan of old time movies and music, he enjoyed the sounds of the Glenn Miller Band. Bucky was very skilled in making Video tapes and later, DVDs of all of the old time movies and songs. His unparalleled collection also included making videos of the local boxers and their matches. As a horse racing fan, he enjoyed traveling to the state fairs to watch thoroughbreds race. His wife of 46 years, the former Stephanie E. Koza passed away Jan. 25, 2005. He is survived by his three daughters, Sandra L. White and her husband, Richard B. White of Hinsdale, Anne “Hania” Rennie and her husband, Philip J. Rennie of Lenox, and Susan J. and her husband Louis P. Archambault of Conyers, GA . 7 grandchildren, Michael Satrape, Anthony Satrape (his wife Hailey ), Jeff White, Kristin Carlson (her husband Jeff), Kendra Bushart (her husband Tim ), Noah Archambault (his wife Sarah) and Nicole Archmbault, and his 9 great-grandchildren. Jacob, Stephanie, Alex, Dominik, Jackson, Theo, Quinn, Timothy and Hailey. Henry L. “ Bucky “ Mandeville, age 88 of Pittsfield, passed away May 4th. Calling hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be this FRIDAY, May 12th at 10:00 am. Funeral services will follow and begin at 11:00 am with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph’s Church, officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery in Adams. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Soldier On in care of the funeral home. 40 Maplewood Ave. Pittsfield, MA 01201
