Joann P. Reynolds Maher, born to Frank and Katherine Reynolds, on January 6, 1930, passed on November 13, 2021.

Joann graduated from Lebanon Valley High School in 1947 and continued her education at the former Berkshire Business College. Upon her graduation, she became employed as a stenographer at the Power Transformer Division of the General Electric Company.

She met her future husband, Robert Maher, at the former ‘Showboat’ in New Lebanon and they were married November 27, 1954.

Joann held various secretarial positions prior to joining the law firm, Cain, Hibbard Myers & Cook, now known as Cohen Kinne Valicenti & Cook, LLP.

After retiring in 1992, Joann and Bob took to the road after retirement and traveled their US on their Goldwing motorcycle. The favorite spots were Canyon de chelly and Mt. Rushmore.

The ’Reynolds Girls’, Joann, Jean and Ruth were like three peas in a pod during their youth with Joann being quite the prankster. You could not find a stronger bond amongst three sisters ever.

Her husband, Bob, predeceased her on February 8, 2014. 

She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Maher (Teresa ), and Martin Maher, her two daughters, Norah Maher and Keiron Maher ( Kevin Somoza ) all of Pittsfield,  her two sisters, Jean Crosby and Ruth Evans (Harold ) of New Lebanon, her grandchildren, Joshua Givens ( Renné), Haven Maher ( Dante Powell ) Marissa Maher, and Katherine Joyce ( Andrew ), her great grandchildren, Trenton Scales, Amara Robertson, Liah Winston and Zachary Winston. Joann was predeceased by her grandson, Kevin Maher.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 pm this Monday, November 22 at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, if friend desire, memorial donations may be made to Lebanon Valley Protective Services, Inc. in care of the funeral home.
