Joseph Stephen Nosal

Joseph Stephen Nosal, age 76, of MA and formerly of CA and CT died in his home at Solider On, Feeding Hills, MA on Saturday May 8.

He was born in Bridgeport, CT on August 2, 1944, the son of the late Joseph and Nellie Zaborowski Nosal. Joseph grew up in Fairfield, CT and attended Fairfield Prep. High School. After he graduated, he served in the United States Marine Corps.

While stationed in CA, he met and married the love of his life, Suzanne H. Dyer. He attended carpentry school in Pasadena, CA and became a General Building Contractor, certified by the State of California. Although he excelled in finish carpentry, he built new homes and offices as well and worked on several historical buildings in the Pasadena area.

In the 1970’s, Joe along with his father, designed the tooling for, and the manufacturing of a banding system for wooden hot tubs.  This featured a brass buckle and a plastic-coated wire rope which prevented the stain on the redwood caused by the steel bands that were used at the time.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Stephen Nosal II of Azusa, CA and his wife Lisa Ruth Nosal. Joe passed on his love for camping and being in nature, with a dog by his side to his son.

He is also survived by his beloved Godmother, Eleanor Ott, his siblings, Joyce Denicola and her husband Carmen, Gary Nosal, Janelle Smith and her husband Rikki, and Sean Nosal along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends and Family are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 12PM St. Michael’s Cemetery, 2205 Stratford Avenue, Stratford.
