Judith Mary (Warren) Barry

December 27, 1941 ~ March 26, 2024 (age 82) 82 Years Old

Tribute

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Judith "Judy" Mary (Warren) Barry, beloved Wife, Mother and one of the proudest Grandmothers you could ever meet. Judy passed away Tuesday March 26th at Berkshire Medical Center, with her family at her side.
Judy was born on December 27, 1941 in Pittsfield, MA, a daughter of the late Madonna and John Warren. A lifelong resident of Pittsfield, she attended local schools and was a 1960 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
In her early years, Judy worked as a credit investigator for the Credit Bureau of Pittsfield, until marrying her first husband Donald Pericolosi, with whom she had three children; Donald Jr., Nancy and Anthony. In later years, Judy worked in a number of health care facilities including Berkshire Nursing Home, Center for Optimum Care Berkshire, Sugar Hill Assisted Living and Kimball Farms. It was at Berkshire Nursing Home that Judy met the love of her life and future husband, Peter E. Barry. They were married on December 10, 1986 and spent many wonderful years together.
Despite suffering a cardiac arrest and anoxic brain injury in 2014, Judy never lost her naturally sweet disposition and her ability to make anyone feel special within moments of meeting her. She was a woman of great faith and derived her strength from her belief in God. Judy loved music, taking a ride in the country and going to Cape Cod. Above all else, Judy's greatest joy in life was doting on her two granddaughters, Gianna and Julea, whom she loved with all her heart. Her eyes would light up with excitement every time she saw them and she was determined to spoil them as only a Grandmother can. She succeeded greatly in that effort!
Judy was predeceased by her parents and her sister Nancy Warren, who died at the age of 14 and whose loss Judy never fully got over. She was also predeceased by her infant son Donald Pericolosi Jr., and her son Anthony Pericolosi who died in 2020.
Judy is survived by her husband Peter E. Barry, her daughter Nancy J. (Pericolosi) Konisky and her husband Anthony Konisky, and her granddaughters Gianna R. and Julea D. Konisky. She also leaves behind her brothers-in-law Patrick and Thomas Barry, her niece Shauna Slater and grandnephew Logan Slater.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Judy's caregivers over the years, including the staff at Greylock Extended Care Facility, Berkshire Medical Center, and her personal care attendants who made it possible for her to remain in her home. The care and compassion that was shown to her will never be forgotten.
