Karen A. (Scully) Peters, age 76, of Pittsfield peacefully entered eternity on June 21, 2022 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 30, 1945, she lived most of her life in Pittsfield and graduated from Pittsfield High School class of 1963.
Karen will always be known for her quick wit and sarcastic humor; her loving heart and as the “Angelina’s Lady.” She worked for many years at Angelina’s and later owned the shop on West Housatonic Street.
She loved doing her crafts, cooking and baking cookies with her family, especially at Christmas. She enjoyed playing golf with her late husband Gerhart Peters, whom she massed on July 9, 1983. When they retired, they moved to Florida and opened “The Shack” on the 9th Hole of the community golf course where they lived.
She leaves her family whom she adored; two daughters, Lisa L’Italien and Candy Dimanche-Riley and her husband Stephen Riley, her grandchildren, Haven Maher and her fiancé Dante Powell, Sullivan Patriquin, Devin and Darin Nichlen, and Stephen Riley Jr., her great grandsons, Ayden Maher and Trenton Scales, and two brothers, Daniel and William Scully.
