Karen Mary Sutton “Gucci”
Karen Mary Sutton, 57, passed on to Heaven at her home on July 11, 2022. She was born September 20, 1964, in Pittsfield MA, the daughter of James and Mary Chague (Rogers) whom both predeceased her.
A beautiful woman with a golden heart she kept her family and friends close and was never more than a phone call away. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt. She was beyond proud to be called “Gamma Goo” by her grandchildren. All her time was spent taking care of her grandchildren and making sure they were happy and healthy. She shared an incredibly special bond with her granddaughter Leighsa who was named after her late twin sister.
Karen was a graduate of Lee High School. She married the love of her life Edwin Sutton on September 15, 1990, who she shared 5 daughters with. Karen worked as a PCA through AdLib for many years and enjoyed taking care of people. She will be remembered by many for her contagious smile and smart remark sense of humor that would have an entire room burst out laughing.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years Edwin Sutton, a son Angelo Gelpi, five daughters Ocean Sutton, Skye Breault (Jared Vella), Brittany Breault, Rose Dawson (Dakota Perry), and Angel Breault. Her mother-in-law Linda Brewster Sutton, her father-in-law Linda’s husband Gary Sutton, who predeceased her. She leaves behind two nephews, whom she helped raise, Jason MacDowell (Nicole, Silas), Brandon MacDowell, as well as Mike Mongeon who was a very close family friend. Her three sisters Pamela Cutt, Teresa Hutchinson, Melissa Scolforo (Michael), brother Jimmy Chague, her sisters-in-law Coco Rufo (Mark), Lori (Leandra), and Beth Greto (Vic), five beautiful grandchildren Armoni, Annaleis, Edwin, Leighsa, and Jabrielle as well many other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her best friend and identical twin sister Lisa MacDowell (Robin MacDowell Sr), her nephew Robin MacDowell Jr, and her brother Eugene Chague.
Services for Karen will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10am at The First Baptist Church, 88 South Street, Pittsfield, with Reverend Sheila Sholes-Ross officiating, with a reception to follow immediately after in the assembly hall.
