Leslie Steven Rist

Mr. Leslie Steven Rist, 59, passed away on December 10, 2020 after a sudden brief illness.

He was born in Pittsfield on April 15, 1961, the beloved son of Carolyn Hammer Rist and the late Emil Rist. He attended Pittsfield Public Schools and was employed by City Tire and the Berkshire Eagle over the years.

He enjoyed Lebanon Valley Speedway, LP albums, model cars and vintage VW’s.

Les is survived by his mother Carolyn Rist, his 8 sisters and brothers, Judi and Gary Salvadori of Vallejo, CA, Gary Rist of Pittsfield, Bradley Rist of Taylorsville, CA, Blair and Donna Rist of Alpine, CA, Lorraine and Ed Flynn of Pittsfield, Lynn Huckle of Benicia, CA, Brenda and John Rosier of Lanesborough, Joan and Keith Lampro of Glorieta, NM, as well as his longtime love and support, Betsy Crouse, and her son Michael.

He was predeceased by his father Emil Rist in 2004 and his dear brother Glenn Rist in 2019.

Les will be missed by his beloved family and friends alike as he enters the gates of Heaven (which he may need to oil up a bit) as he was always tinkering with things.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to: “Soldier On” or “South Congregational Church- Food Pantry” in care of the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home, 40 Maplewood Ave. Pittsfield, MA 01201
