Linda Mary (Spencer) Brazeau

Linda Mary Brazeau, age 73, of Dalton, MA died Saturday, May 15, 2021 after a long period of declining health.

Linda was born in Pittsfield on January 16, 1948, a daughter of the late Leonard Rudd Spencer and Avery Holmes Anderson. She graduated from Wahconah Regional High School, class of 1965 and went on to the University of Massachusetts to earn her BA in English Literature in 1969.

On October 19, 1973, Linda married Mark Alan Brazeau. They have spent 47 wonderful years together.

Linda was employed at the former Berkshire Life Insurance Company for 32 years as a Systems Analyst. Her final position there was Senior Systems Analyst in the Computer Services Department. She then went to work as a Children’s Librarian and Assistant Director at the Stockbridge Library for 10 years.

Linda was a member and a past president of the Hoffmann Bird Club as well as an avid Boston Red Sox fan. She also loved painting, especially using oils, acrylics and watercolor. In her retirement, Linda found joy in yoga, water aerobics and osteo exercises.

In addition to her husband Mark, Linda is survived by her daughter, Michelle M. Keeler and her husband Shaun of Florida, MA, her son, Jeremy A. Brazeau and his wife Kate of Pittsfield, and her beautiful grandchildren, Marah Keeler, Ava Brazeau and Mia Brazeau. She is also survived by her brother, Leonard Holmes Spencer and his wife Susan of Cabot, VT and many nieces and nephews.

There will be an hour of visitation on THURSDAY, May 20th from 9:30-10:30 at Devanny-Condron Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11AM at St. Agnes Church in Dalton celebrated by Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor. Burial will follow in Ashuelot Cemetery.
