Linda A. Karch

August 9, 1956 ~ December 23, 2021 (age 65) 65 Years Old

Tribute

Linda A. Karch, age 65, of 546 Fenn St. passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from complications of coronary artery disease.

Born August 9, 1956 in Great Barrington, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. Hadsell and Katherine Baslow. She was educated and raised in South County and moved to Pittsfield in her early 20s.

In addition to raising her family, Linda worked for many years as a PCA in elderly healthcare. She found enjoyment in helping others. Sher greatest joy was being with her family, especially her children and grandchildren as well as her many friends who were more like family to her.

Linda had been sober for the last 15 years; this was something she worked at every single day and she was so very proud of her sobriety.

She was the BIGGEST RED SOX FAN, was a collector of all things Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots and never missed watching a game. She also collected coins, porcelain dolls, pictures, paintings and magnets to name a few.

She married the late Frank A. Karch on April 22, 1984. He died on November 23, 2015 after 31 years of marriage.

Linda is survived by her children, Matthew J. Hadsell and Amy M. Hadsell and her beloved grandchildren, Kayla M. Hadsell, William A. Grube, and Austin C. Grube, all of Pittsfield. She also leaves her brothers, Robert and Jason Hadsell, her sisters, Sandra Pothul and Lisa Hadsell, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Elizabeth and Teresa Hadsell.

In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.

Linda was the proud great-grandma to her granddaughter’s furbabies, and would want memorial donations to be directed to the Berkshire Humane Society to help animals.
