She was a graduate of Pittsfield High School, and then went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in education from Bridgewater State College. She later earned her Master’s Degree in Education from the former North Adams State College in 1955.

Mrs. Dunn was very fond of travelling, particularly the many family trips to Florida, and she was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Marjorie was an active woman all throughout her life, and was proud to have never let go of her strong will and independence.

She married her husband, Mr. Robert F. Dunn on February 19, 1955. They had been married for 49 years before his death on October 8, 2004.

Mrs. Dunn is survived by her five children, Deborah Mizia and her husband Jefferey of Pittsfield, Lauren Paro and her husband Todd of Hinsdale, Robert Dunn and his wife Melanie of FL, Marjorie Carty of Pittsfield, and Jeffrey Dunn of Worcester.
