Martin Peter Winiarski, Jr.

April 22, 1992 ~ September 10, 2021 (age 29) 29 Years Old

Tribute

Martin “Marty” Peter Winiarski, Jr., passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021.  His death was utterly unexpected, and the abrupt end to such a bright and promising life has profoundly saddened his family and friends.

Martin was born in Hartford, CT, on April 22, 1992, loving son of Kelly and Martin Winiarski.  He is survived by his fraternal twin, Julie, of Salem, MA, his brothers Tommy and Michael, of Spring Hill, FL, and his sister, Mary, of Hartford, CT.  Martin was predeceased by his parents and his brother Joseph.

Martin found a home in Pittsfield thanks to his work ethic and affable nature as well as strong family ties and luck.  When Martin first moved to the area, his Aunt Kathy and Uncle Tom welcomed him with open arms, making sure he had whatever he needed.  Then, a serendipitous meeting between Martin and Gary Johnson, of Johnson Ford, catapulted him into a career that gave him contentment and satisfaction.  Martin excelled in selling cars, embracing customers first then the actual sale.  In a short period of time, commitment and passion enabled him to start traveling the road to success.  What he loved most though was how the owners and co-workers at the dealership were like a second family.  He spoke highly and warmly of Gary, Chris, and Terry, as well as the rest of the Johnson team, especially Shep and Bryan—all cherished mentors and friends.  Outside of work, Martin was involved in a committed relationship.  Sara was his funny, smart, beautiful, and loving partner-in-crime.  They loved eating out, hiking, swimming, and going on day trips.  To see them together was watching a couple for the ages.  His fraternal twin, Julie, and his Aunt Kathy were the true anchors in his life, always providing, always cheering, always rooting, and always enjoying the company of this happy-go-lucky, earnest, kind soul.

All of them, as well as the rest of his family and friends, will miss a stellar young man whose talents and hobbies ranged from telling a good story, laughing and joking, cooking, hunting, playing the guitar, taking martial arts, listening to country music, to so many other things that are too numerous to mention.

Rest in peace, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and uncle.
