Michelle Marie (Ferry) Cooper

Michelle Marie (Ferry) Cooper, 50, of Becket died August 28, 2019 at the Berkshire Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Michelle was born in Winsted, CT a daughter of the late William A. Ferry, Sr. and Beverly (Ostrander) Ferry. She was educated in the local schools in Winsted and later moved with her family to Lee.

She worked for a short time as a care giver in health care, but was passionate about the work she did as a landscaper as she got older. Michelle was incredibly talented when it came to working outside and gardening. She was a fun loving and lively person, and she was never happier than when she was with her children or nieces and nephews.

Anyone who knew Michelle will remember her as being a kind-spirited woman who loved to spend time with kids. Even as a little girl, she couldn’t wait to have a family of her own one day. Michelle was also a animal lover, and was the dog-mom to her beloved yellow lab, Gracie Mae.

Michelle will be missed by her daughter, Maryann Beaudet and her husband Brandon, her son, Sean Baker, and her grandchildren Morgan and Zeke Beaudet and Ava Baker, all of New Hampshire, and her mother, Beverly Ferry of Pittsfield. She also leaves her siblings, Linda Kearin of Lee, William Ferry Jr. of Pittsfield, Allan Ferry and his wife Julie of Peru, and Brenda Ferry Gian of Pittsfield, her longtime companion and friend, Dave Houghtlin of Becket, Dave’s daughters, Sandy Robillard and Lori Palmer, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she adored.

Besides her father, Michelle was predeceased by her sister Barbara Ferry in 2000.

Services for Michelle will be held Saturday, September 28th at 5PM at the First United Methodist Church, 55 Fenn Street Pittsfield, MA. Friends are also invited to join with the family immediately following the service in the church hall.
