November 25, 2003 ~ January 25, 2024 (age 20) 20 Years Old
Molly Eileen Harrington, age 20, of Pittsfield passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2024 after a severe asthma attack caused by a respiratory illness.
Born in Pittsfield on November 25, 2003, Molly is a daughter of Thomas Douglas Harrington, Jr. and Samantha Brown. She began her life in Lanesborough and moved to Pittsfield in the 6th grade.
Molly had a creative mind. She loved making projects for her loved ones and friends. She was talented with crocheting and aspired to have her own business.
Molly was the longest running member of AIRY, an art therapy program for teens and young adults. Through AIRY, she found a creative expression and outlet and enjoyed her weekly classes.
She was an avid gamer. Her favorite games included Resident Evil, Zelda and Yakuza. She also was teaching herself computer design, as well as coding, and was self-taught in German and Korean.
She found comfort being at home and loved spending time with her family, especially her mom, dad and little brother, Owen Harrington. In addition to them, she is survived by her grandmothers, Pamela Brown of Lanesboro and Michele Blaney of Pittsfield, her grandfathers, Thomas Harrington Sr. and Richard L. Blaney Jr. both of Pittsfield, her aunts and uncles, Thomas Brown (Kimberlee Gero), Heather Harrington, Chelly McEneany (Andrew Wood) and Tawnia Hostetter (Ritchie), all of Pittsfield, and many great aunts, uncles and cousins. Molly was predeceased by her grandfather, Louis Brown, and an aunt, Kortnie Stone.
SERVICES: Friends are invited to join with Molly’s family for visitation on Sunday, February 4th from 10AM-12PM at the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home. The Celebration of Molly’s Life will be from 1-5PM at the Tavern at the A on Crane Ave.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Molly’s memory may be made payable to “Devanny-Condron Funeral Home” to help her family with the unexpected costs associated with this tragedy. Any funds raised over and above the expenses will be donated to AIRY in Molly’s memory.
