Paul G. Fusini

November 13, 1956 ~ July 22, 2021 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Tribute

Sadly, on Thursday July 22, 2021 Paul G. Fusini passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Paul was born on November 13, 1956 in Troy, NY to Carlo R. Fusini and Katharine T. (Garvey) Fusini.
Paul grew up in Windsor, MA and attended local schools. During Paul's childhood, he enjoyed the outdoors and learning what would become his life long career as an ironworker. Paul worked for his family's business, Berkshire Bridge & Iron Co. Inc. before joining the Local 12 Ironworkers Union in Albany County NY on May 01, 1977. During his 44 years in the Local 12, he worked up and down the East coast from Groton, CT, welding on submarines for Electric Boat to Tennessee, Florida and back up near the Canadian border working on the wind turbines. The last job before retiring was working on the Lake Champlain Bridge that spans between New York and Vermont, which became the job he was most proud of. Needless to say, he led a fearless career as an ironworker. When Paul wasn't working, he enjoyed spending time with his kids, taking us fishing and on other adventures, riding his Harley with his dog Milo and going on fishing trips with friends.
Paul is survived by his four children: Anthony Fusini, Christopher Fusini, Nicholas Fusini and Kayla Kroboth, daughter-in-law Do-Nadel Thiede and son-in-law Adam Kroboth. To say that his children were proud to call him their father, would be an understatement. We are beyond thankful for his strength and determination that he ingrained into our souls. We love you and will forever miss everything about you but will always stick together the way you raised us to. Last but not least he leaves the greatest joys of the later years of his life, his grandbabies, Cameron Fusini and Juliana Fusini. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Suzanne Collins, Kate Lewis, Dennis Fusini, Peter Fusini and Anthony Fusini, along with several nieces and nephews.
A Liturgy Christian Burial will be celebrated this Saturday, July 31st at 9 a.m. at St. Agnes Church in Dalton with Rev. John Roach, officiating. Burial will follow in Ashuelot St. Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made payable to "The Cancer Center at BMC" in care of the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home, 40 Maplewood Ave. Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is assisting the family.
