Ray Pent

Mr. Ray Heino Pent, age 73, of Dalton passed away at the Berkshire Medical Center on Thursday, February 16, 2023 surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren.

Ray was a Proud Estonian.  He moved to the United States in 1967 with his parents Heino and Alma and his sister Agnes.

He met his loving wife Patty on January 16, 1973 and they got married on July 5, 1975 and formed his beautiful family.  

He traveled to different countries over the years for work and many family vacations. During the summer months, Ray took his wife and children camping almost every weekend. On these trips he would teach them to fish and build campfires. He also enjoyed sailing and canoeing.

Ray loved spending time with his friends and family, but his pride and joy were his children and especially his seven grandchildren.

He had a special bond with his dog Buzzie who would not leave his side.

He loved his wife of 48 years to the bitter end. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons and their wives, Eric and Margaret Pent and Daniel and Erlanda Pent, and his beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Leah, Ethan, Holland, Hannah, Aleya and Rian. He also leaves his sister Tiina and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He left fond memories in the hearts and minds of all who came across Mr. Pent in his 73 years.  The family wants to thank all the friends and family that enhanced his life. 

Services will be private for the family.
