Pittsfield- Raymond A. “Froggy” Maynard, 56, of Elberon Ave. passed away at the Springside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, June 7, 2017.

Raymond was born in Pittsfield a son of the late Raymond and Virginia (VanValkenburg) Maynard. He was a graduate of the Pittsfield School Systems, and after went on to proudly serve his country in the US Armed Forces, starting as active duty, and later continuing in the reserves. He enjoyed his work as a line cook, something he not only was passionate about, but was also incredibly talented at. Raymond also worked for many years as a mold technician at various plastics companies around Berkshire County. Froggy was a proud NASCAR fan, as well as a passionate Red Sox and Patriots supporter. As time went on, he found a love for painting, crafts and playing Bingo at Springside.

Raymond was predeceased by his companion and best friend of 27 years, Roberta Topping, in 2014. He is survived by his son, Jordan Maynard and his fiancé Meghan of Adams, his two sisters, Diane Bourassa of Pittsfield and Kelly Elser and her husband Danny of Adams, and his brother Keith Maynard and his wife Trish of North Adams. He is also survived by his longtime friend and sister-in-law Susan Wood and her husband Don of Dalton, many nieces and nephews that he adored, and his kitty Peanut Butter.

Services for Raymond will be Private.

Funeral Services have been entrusted to the care of Devanny-Condron Funeral Home, 40 Maplewood Ave. Pittsfield.
