Roberta Jean Foley, 84, of Pittsfield, MA, passed away at Berkshire Medical Center on December 1, 2024. Roberta was born in Vermont on September 1, 1940 to the late Francis and Erma Reagan. Roberta was married to Frank Foley for 47 years until his passing in 2019. Roberta was a homemaker throughout her life.
Roberta was a woman of deep faith who enjoyed reading her bible and books of all kinds, gardening, dancing, flowers and nature, television and game shows, shopping for home decorations, and spending time with her family. She was a great cook who loved providing meals to her family and drinking sweet Lipton iced tea. She enjoyed visiting her home state of Vermont, which included leaf peeping, visiting the Apple Barn yearly, and visiting covered bridges. She also loved taking rides and looking at Christmas lights.
Roberta raised six children. She is predeceased by her daughter, Sonja A. Kimball, who passed in 2021 and her granddaughter, Shannon Steffey. She has five remaining children, Peter F. Martin (Tracey Twarog), Valarie J. Martin, and Tina M. Martin (Bobby Messer), Roger L. Martin Jr. (Michelle Bessette), and Frank N. Foley Jr. She leaves numerous grandchildren, including Morganne Rayo and husband Luis, Sarina Mead, Leeann Gagnon and husband Adam, Nicholas Martin and Jessica Martin, as well as several great-grandchildren. She leaves behind her son-in-law, Justin Kimball, and her beloved lifelong friend, Bev Hebler.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held for the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations to Berkshire Human Society and Meals on Wheels through Elder Services of Berkshire County can be made in Roberta’s honor.
