Sally A. (Rahilly) Provencher, age 58, of 27 Pacific St. Pittsfield, died Monday, Oct. 29th at the Mass. General Hospital after a long illness. She was born in Pittsfield, May 21,1960, the daughter of the late Francis and Edith Girard Rahilly. Educated in the local schools, she was employed most recently in housekeeping at Cranwell.
Sally enjoyed her role as a wife, mother and grandmother as her family meant the world to her. One of her many pleasures was sitting in the porch swing during the summer and listening to music. Renowned for her spaghetti and meatballs, she loved to collect Angels.
She and her husband, John W. Provencher Jr., celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this past June 15th.
Besides her husband, Sally is survived by her son, Brian J. Provencher of Williston, VT, her two daughters, Jamie P. Santos and Teresa P. Bentz, both of Pittsfield, her adopted grandchildren, Kymani Provencher who she raised as a son, and Keara Provencher who she raised as a daughter as well as another grandson, Steven Wright, who she also raised as a grandson.. She is also survived by her 4 brothers, Robert, Daniel, Christopher and Patrick Rahilly and her two sisters, Patricia Francour and Nancy Dupray. She was predeceased by her brother Frank Rahilly.
She was the proud grandmother of her additional grandchildren, Steve, Tyler, Adin, Nathan, Rachael, Kelasia, Aaliyah, Kayla, Mia Brianna, Lynn, Jace and Brandon.
A Celebration of her Life will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6th at 12:00 Noon at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME . If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the Aplastic Anemia Foundation in care of the funeral home.
