Sandra Brown

Sandra D. Brown, age 78, of Pittsfield died Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness.

She was born in London, England on February 10, 1945 to the late George Furnald and Marguerite “Billee” Battersby Furnald.

Sandy spent her entire career as a nurse, both in London, where she received her training, and then in the U.S. once she moved to the Berkshires in 1979.

One of her great passions was spending time with her children, Elaine Byrne of East Greenbush, NY, and Glenn Brown of Pittsfield, as well as her Grandchildren Bradley Brown, Brooklyn Cook and Karson Brown, and her grand-dog Stitch.

She was predeceased by another grandson, Tyler Brown in 2022, as well as her parents and another grand-dog, Lady.

SERVICES: A memorial gathering will be held on SUNDAY, July 30th from 4-6PM at the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be at a later date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to your favorite charity or to share in an act of kindness while remembering Sandy.
