Pittsfield- William K. “Ken” Gordon, 95, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Berkshire Medical Center.

Mr. Gordon was born on June 16, 1922 in Montreal, Canada the only child of the late Murdock L.E. Gordon and Mary Matilda (Leonard) Gordon. As a young boy, he and his parents lived in both New York and Canada, and William settled back in the United States before joining the US Navy where he served between the years of 1942 and 1943.

Ken was the owner and operator of the Pine Point Cleaners dry cleaning company out of Springfield and Holyoke before his retirement.

Mr. Gordon moved to Florida in 1988 and lived in the Tampa Bay Area for over 25 years before moving back to Massachusetts. He enjoyed traveling and he also loved to golf. Ken was incredibly proud of his not only one, but two, “holes in one” that he accomplished over his lifetime.  

Mr. Gordon was predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Sallee Elaine (Thomas) Gordon, who died in 1984.

He leaves his four children: Kathleen Hazelett and her husband Randy of Pittsfield, Thomas M. Gordon and his wife Weslee of Agawam, Heather Wilcox of Las Vegas, and Gayle Gordon of Springfield. He also leaves his four grandchildren, Michelle Farnum, Ben Wilcox, Thomas W. Gordon and Sara Gordon, and four great grandchildren, Aaron Savoian, Ryan Wilcox, Eoin Flynn, and Penelope Gordon.

William was also predeceased by his second wife of 10 years, Elizabeth Eldred Gordon.

Graveside Services for Ken will be held Friday, October 20th at 11AM at Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Oak Garden Of Bronze Section (bear left at the main gate upon arrival) in Springfield with Rev. Ken Milton officiating.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Devanny-Condron Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions in Mr. Gordon’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, in care of the Funeral Home.
