William "Billy" H Reddy, Jr.

William H. Reddy, Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, colleague and friend, died on June 14th in the company of his family and friends. He was 61 years old.
'Billy', as he was known to most, was born in Pittsfield, MA, Sept. 9, 1956, to William (Sr.) and Helen Reddy. He was a 1974 graduate of St. Joseph's High School and went on to study at Berkshire Community College and C.H. McCann Technical School before working nearly 30 years in a variety of positions at Berkshire Medical Center.
He will be remembered by those who knew him in so many wonderful ways. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years with the Cheshire Fire Department. He was the DJ at countless weddings, bar mitzvahs, anniversary's and holiday parties throughout Berkshire County, often donating his time and services to numerous local charities. He spent countless hours brightening spirits at cardiac rehab and was usually the first person to visit someone in a time of need, more often than not carrying with him a pan of eggplant parmesan. He loved the Boston Red Sox, listening to The Rolling Stones and Cheap Trick, telling one of the thousands of jokes he knew, reading novels and attending as many back-yard gatherings as a weekend would allow for.
Billy is survived by his three children; Eric Reddy and his wife Maren Madore of Lynn, MA, William E. Reddy and his wife Alyssa of Flagstaff, AZ, and Mallory Reddy, along with her fiance James D'Aniello of Pittsfield. His sole grandson, Parker James (PJ) Reddy, loved spending time with his grandfather and talking about PJ always brought a smile to his face. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Sharon Alpert and her husband Paul of North Haven, CT, Patricia Scheufler and her husband Raymond of Pittsfield, and Joan Wrinn and her husband Andrew, also of Pittsfield. 'Uncle Billy' will also be remembered by his many nephews, nieces, and extended family' members, all of whom he loved spending time with dearly. He leaves behind an innumerable number of dear friends, both near and far.
Reddy, William H., Jr., age 61, died June 14th. Calling Hours at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME will be WEDNESDAY, June 20th from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on THURSDAY, June 21st, at 9:15 am from the FUNERAL HOME followed with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Charles Church with the Rev. Michael Wood, administrator, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cheshire, Ma. Volunteer Fire Dept. in care of the Funeral Home
