Henry P. Meloveck, age 90, of Pittsfield died Wednesday evening at the Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in Stockbridge,  March 18, 1926, and  was the last of nine children born to the late Albert and Marcianna Jarosz Meloveck. A graduate of Pittsfield High School in 1943, he was a US Marine Corps veteran. Returning home, he became employed at the former General Electric Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and former long time communicant of Holy Family Church. A member of the Polish Community Club, he owned and raced thoroughbred race horses and was an active supporter of OTB.

He is survived by his nieces, Helen Majchrowski of New Ashford, Carol Andrus and Jo Ann Ferin, both of Dalton.

Meloveck, Henry P., age 90, died March 15th.  A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated SATURDAY morning 9:00 am. at St. Joseph’s Church with the Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME is entrusted with his care.
