Mr. Steven T. Street, age 59, of 22 East Mill St. Pittsfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening. He was born in Pittsfield, Oct. 7, 1957, the son of the late James W. and Jennie Karpeck Street. He was a 1975 graduate of Taconic High School, then furthered his education and became an apprentice plumber. Steven will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and kindness. He found joy in sharing his knowledge at any opportunity he could. As a young boy, he was known by his grandparents as their “Little Professor”.  Steven loved fishing, target shooting, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his cat Alley, and granddog, Diesel.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jan M. Trapnell of Pittsfield and Stacie A. Street and Richard I. Johnson, both of Pittsfield; his son, James R. Street of Adams; his 2 brothers, Donald J. Street and his wife, Mary, of Alexandria, VA. and Michael W. Street and his wife, Ellen, of Pittsfield; his sister, Janet Fadden and her husband, Martin, of Abilene, KS.; his two grandchildren, Narisa and Jaedan Trapnell and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his grandson Ian Trapnell, and sister Patricia Street.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Ashley Clavette and his other caregivers, as well as to Hospice Care of the Berkshires for their kind care and support over this time in need.

 

Street, Steven T., age 59, of Pittsfield passed Feb. 14th.  Graveside services will be held TUESDAY afternoon at 1:30 pm at the family plot on the second level in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with the Rev.  Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor of St. Joseph’s Chiurch,  officiating. The Celebration of his Life will continue immediately following at Moments House, 2 South St. Pittsfield; parking in Crowne Plaza garage. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Moments  House in care of the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME which has been entrusted with  his care.
